Preschool and Child Care
IMMEDIATE OPENINGS AVAILABLE!
The City of Newark offers several options for Preschoolers, including all day or part day programs. All of our classes are taught by professional, experienced staff. Our teachers are committed to providing a safe, caring environment where preschoolers can prepare for the school years ahead. Students are limited to enrollment in one class per session.
Through a playful learning environment these programs offer the following:
- Developmentally appropriate, playful learning
- Kindergarten preparedness
- Science Activities
- Music and movement
- Daily outside play time
- Small and large group activities
Preschool & Kindertots
Classes are offered M/W/F, T/Th and M-Th at the Silliman Activity Center. Hours are 9:00-11:30am or 12:45-3:15pm.
Children must be 3 years old by December 2 and fully potty trained.

Licensed Child Care
This full time, State of California Licensed Program for children 3-5 years old is located at the Community Center. Preschool curriculum as well as extended care is included in this all day program.
